Prayantr ⟶ The Firm
The firm, and the principal.
Who you'd actually be contracting with — the entity, the paperwork, and the person who takes every call.
The firm
Independent since 2013, and built to stay small.
Prayantr Technologies Private Limited has operated since 2013 — a registered company, not a freelance practice with a logo. It takes few engagements at a time, by design: the calendar is the inventory, and a principal-led firm has exactly one of those.
- Est. 2013 — Private Limited company, India.
- Principal-led — the founder on every engagement, always.
- Remote-first — clients across time zones, standing hours in yours.
- Three models — advisory, fractional, and the build, scoped in writing.
How we contract
The paperwork is boringly standard.
Cross-border contracting with an Indian entity is routine for US, UK, and EU companies — the mechanics just aren't usually written down anywhere a prospective client can read them before asking. So, in full:
- MSA + per-engagement SOW — every engagement, no exceptions, no verbal agreements standing in for paper.
- IP assigned to you on payment — code, documentation, and architecture decisions become yours outright; builds end with a documented handover, not a dependency.
- USD invoicing, worldwide — regardless of where the entity is registered.
- 30-day exit, both ways — on every retainer. Easy exit is a selling point and keeps the pricing honest.
- NDA on request before any deep conversation; the MSA carries confidentiality both ways, and access is through your own systems, revocable by you at any time.
- No hourly billing — fixed-scope work is quoted fixed, after ten minutes of real questions, not a meter nobody can predict.
Your counsel will find all of it boringly standard — which is rather the point. More answers, including the specifics on stack and AI use, live on the FAQ.
The principal
One founder. Two decades in the craft.
Amit Solanki · Founder & CEO, Prayantr Technologies
Amit founded Prayantr in 2013 as the vehicle for his consulting work, and has run it alongside a career at the sharp end of engineering leadership: SVP of Engineering at a venture-backed enterprise SaaS company in New York; Lead Software Architect at a global workspace platform through its steepest growth years; and before that, one of India's earliest Ruby on Rails engineers at the country's first Rails company.
Every Prayantr engagement gets the principal — leading personally, and bringing in trusted engineers under his direct review when a larger build calls for more hands. Never a bench, never a handoff to someone you didn't meet. That discipline is also why the firm runs few engagements at a time: the judgment on offer doesn't scale by adding headcount underneath it.
The full career record — the numbers this site doesn't print — lives at amitsolanki.com.
